Clarence Rous, 88, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at a local nursing home.
Mr. Rous was born in Hamilton County to George and Clara Springfield Rous, of the Methodist faith, and graduated from Central High School. He retired from Fowler Furniture Company as a Salesman, was an U.S. Army veteran of WW II, member of the Half Century Club, and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Nina Rous; son, Mike Odom and wife Alice of Orlando, Fl.; grandsons, Shane Odom and wife Marla of Decatur, Al., and Lance Odom of Chicago; sister, Mary Virginia Olson of Akron, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the PACE Program at Alexian Villiage.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held in June at Chattanooga National Cemetery and will be announced.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
