When someone helps me in the manner that Jim Vincent has helped me, I need to speak up and tell people. My mother was in a nursing home in Ohio. I needed to help take care of her needs and wanted to move her closer, which was especially important since I have physical challenges of my own. I tried for over two years to get her moved to a nursing home closer to me and was unsuccessful.
When I finally decided to contact Jim Vincent I was at my wits end. Jim Vincent listened to me asked questions so he could help me and then went to work. My mother was moved to a more convenient location in a wonderful facility in 10 days. I will never forget the manner in which Jim Vincent handled this situation.
I know how vital it is for the people in District 31 to have someone they can go to for help and to have that person show real concern for them. I'm not someone who calls for help for every situation, but we all need to know that help is just a phone call away when we do need it. It's imperative that we have that contact available to us. Jim Vincent is the kind of person who will take time to help. It's one thing to talk the talk and another to back up what you say with action.
I know Jim Vincent has helped a lot of other people in many different ways and that says a lot about his attitude of being a true public servant. Let's get Jim Vincent back to Nashville as the State Representative for District 31.
