Pancakes bring a smile to the faces of breakfast eaters each year at the Kiwanis Club of Ringgold fundraising event. The event is on Saturday, May 24 and serves as a kickoff to Ringgold’s 1890s Days Jamboree.
Kiwanis Club of Ringgold will hold its annual special fundraiser to support its many charitable projects in the community.

The Pancake Breakfast is Saturday, May 24 from 7-11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ringgold.

“This has been a Kiwanis tradition at the 1890 Days for as long as I can remember,” said Linda Fowler, Kiwanis president. “Come for all you can eat pancakes and enjoy your family and the fellowship of others."

Kiwanis Chef Jack Deaton said the meals are available to go if visitors are in a hurry, but if they will take the time to dine in the fellowship hall at the church, they can eat all the pancakes and sausage they can hold.

Coffee and juice are included with the meal. Bottled water, soft drinks and milk is available at additional charge.

Mr. Deaton said a new addition for those on the go this year will be Sausage and a Biscuit for $1.

Mona Allday and Jim Cutler are coordinating the event.

Ms. Allday said the club is ecstatic about bringing this traditional Kiwanis event back to 1890's Days. Although she said attendees do not have to be coming to 1890's Days to come and enjoy the breakfast.

“We appreciate the community support in the past for this event,” she said. “It’s one of the ways we raise the money we share with are many projects for area youth. We invite everyone to come by and enjoy breakfast before 1890s Days."

Tickets are $5 at the door or $4 in advance. Tickets are available from any Ringgold Kiwanis members and at Capital Bank (Ringgold branch only), Uniktings, 7715 Nashville Street in Ringgold, The Catoosa County News, Prudential RealtyCenter at 3089 Battlefield Parkway, 706 866-4140.
