Eric Bush
Eric Lebron Bush, 45, died on May 7, 2008 after a brief illness.

He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1980 where he was the first African-American drum major and Key Club member. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces. He served from 1981-1984.

He was a member of New Enon Baptist Church; he was a former member of Saint Mary Primitive Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Bush, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Connie (Nanette) Horton, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Bush.

He is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Elizabeth Bush, daughter, Erica; uncles, Curtis (Sheila) Horton, Eddie (Rhonda) Horton, and Varnell (Jeanette) Horton, of Birmingham; aunt, Doris Johnson, Birmingham; great-uncles, Jimmy (Dorothy) Silmon and Charlie Leslie, and a host of special cousins and friends; very special friend, Billy Green.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in National Cemetery.

His body will lie in state after noon on Monday and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
