Pauline "Polly" Selcer Merriman, 80, of Hixson, died on May 9, 2008.
Born May 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ab and Mabel Selcer. A 1945 graduate of Red Bank High School, Polly served as secretary there for many years and also at Hixson High School. She was a lifelong member of Falling Water Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William L. Merriman and a brother, Edwin (Bud) Selcer.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce (John) Hewitt, Falling Water and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. J.D. Carnes and Rev. Bob Dasal officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday and 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel, 601 Ashland Terrace.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Falling Water Baptist Church.
