Last Chance For Antiques Roadshow Tickets Through WTCI
posted May 9, 2008

WTCI, the Tennessee Valley’s PBS station, is offering the last chance to attend the Antiques Roadshow which will visit the Chattanooga Convention Center on Saturday, July 19.

WTCI is the only place where viewers have the opportunity to obtain tickets to the event.

Viewers are encouraged to tune in to WTCI on Monday at 8 p.m. for a new episode of Antiques Roadshow with appraisals from Las Vegas. During the broadcast, viewers will have the opportunity to reserve two tickets to Chattanooga’s event in July. Pledges to WTCI for $400 will reserve a pair of tickets to Antiques Roadshow. This is the only place local viewers can obtain tickets.

In January, people were invited to register online through the Antiques Roadshow web site for a random drawing of 3,400 pairs of free tickets. Over 15,000 people registered for the tickets. The lucky ticket holders have been notified.

WTCI has a limited number of tickets remaining for Antiques Roadshow’s stop in Chattanooga. They can be obtained by calling the station at 423 702-7800 or online at wtciTV.org.

Ticket holders are invited to bring two items for a free verbal evaluation by experts from the world’s leading auction houses — including Bonhams & Butterfields, Christie’s, Doyle New York, Freeman’s, Skinner, Sotheby’s, and Swann Galleries—and by leading independent appraisers and dealers. All ticket holders are guaranteed an appraisal.

WTCI and Chattanooga have been chosen as a stop on the 2008 summer tour of Antiques Roadshow, PBS’s most-watched primetime series. Its summer 2008 Tour destinations: Palm Springs, Ca.; Dallas, Tx.; Wichita, Ks.; Chattanooga; Grand Rapids, Mi.; and Hartford, Ct.

Programs taped in those locations will make up Antiques Roadshow’s 13th broadcast season on PBS, airing in 2009.
