Red Bank Judge Johnny Houston accompanied his 17-year-old son to pay up on a $50 mobile van speeding ticket on Friday afternoon.
Judge Houston said, "The law applies to members of my family just like it does to anyone else."
He said his son, Joshua, was caught on Mountain Creek Road going 52 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone on April 15.
Judge Houston said, "I am just thankful it is not going on his driving record."
Red Bank has cameras to catch speeders as well as those who run red lights.
Judge Houston said, "I am told that since the cameras started, our accident rates are down."
