Daisy Betty Jean Wofford died on Friday, May 2, 2008.
She was born in Rogersville, Al., and resided in Chattanooga for her adult life.
Mrs. Wofford was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Roberts and Joe Wofford; mother, Lucinda Ware; brother, Willie Fuqua; and sister, Eloise Griffin
She is survived by her daughter, Lacie (James Sr.) Davis; grandchildren, James (Amy) Davis Jr. and Egalaco (Darryl) Ringer; son-in-law, Danny Stegall; great-grandchildren, Michaela Hammonds, Roderick Bradley, Jamie Davis, Kenyetta Davis, Diamonds Ringer, Courtney Davis, Tiffany Griffin and Adam Davis III; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Fuqua, Dorthy Jean Lockett, Almeta Finnel, Laurrine Smith and Lucille (Willie) Willson; brothers, Charles Fuqua, James (Michelle) Ware and Thomas Fuqua; and best friend, Mattie Clopton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Reuben Strickland Memorial Chapel with Bishop James Davis Sr. officiating.
Her body will lie in state after noon on Friday at Reuben Strickland Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
