Armstrong-Reeves, Lillie Lolita Manet posted May 9, 2008 Lillie Lolita Manet Armstrong-Reeves, 93, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at her residence. She was a member of Mount Paran Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Deacons Wives Union and Deaconess Board. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Allen and Wayne Armstrong; her husbands; one son, Sherman Henry Harshaw Jr.; five sisters; five brothers; and one granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Josita DeRamus, of Chattanooga, and Marjorie Manetta Willis, of Atlanta; son, John Walter Harshaw Sr., of Cincinnati, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Phoebe Smith, of Detroit, and Olivia Smith, of Knoxville; brother, Hubert (Sheila) Armstrong, of Ooltewah; daughters-in-law, Mable (the Rev. Harley) Harvey and Pamela Harshaw, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister-in-law, Lucille Armstrong, of Etowah, Tn.; special grandniece, Crystal Stovall, and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be on Saturday at noon at Mount Paran Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Randy Peterson with Sherman H. Harshaw III as eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state on Friday after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. |
