McMinn County, Ooltewah, Boyd-Buchanan Win District Soccer Titles

In four overtime games on a rainy Thursday night in Chattanooga four more teams earned district championships.

McMinn County defeated Cleveland on penalty kicks after playing to a 1-1 tie in regulation. Kasey Billines scored for McMinn County ten minutes into the game assisted by Matt Cardin.

Cleveland scored the equalizer 20 minutes into the game when Robbie Marcom scored on a penalty kick after a foul in the box.

McMinn County converted all five of their penalty kicks to score the win 5-3.

Cleveland beat McMinn County 3-0 in their regular season game.

Ooltewah survived a 2-1 win over Soddy-Daisy in their semifinal game. Daniel Tackling had the game winner in overtime.

Boyd-Buchanan beat CSAS 4-3, scoring a golden goal in overtime. Taylor Shull had two of the goals for the Bucs. Blake Griffith and Terry Driggers had the other two goals. Adam Wright had two goals for CSAS and Preston Harris had one.

The Bucs will host Notre Dame next Tuesday and CSAS will play at CCS.

In Class AAA, Soddy-Daisy will travel to McMinn County and Ooltewah will host Cleveland.
