The Association for Visual Arts announced the winner of a free bike giveaway, donated by Suck Creek Cycle. The drawing was offered as part of the annual 4 Bridges Arts Festival, which was recently held at the First Tennessee Pavilion in Downtown Chattanooga. Over 25,000 people attended the popular springtime event, which features an art market, free kids’ art activities and live music.

Prizewinner Scott Phillips of Brainerd attended 4 Bridges for the third year. “My wife and I really enjoy going, and we are always pleasantly surprised to find our favorite artwork is done by local artists," he said. He plans on riding his new bike to his job in North Chattanooga as part of Bike2Work, a monthly transport awareness program that takes place in many cities on the first Friday of each month.

The Festival was an overwhelming success, and the event made a $1.5 million economic impact, which included state and county government revenue, as well as spending associated with local restaurants, hotels and other businesses.

Organizers said, "The Festival was not only a great accomplishment for the arts in Chattanooga, but also contributed positively to the economic growth of the city and surrounding area."
