posted May 8, 2008

Disney's High School Musical Onstage will come to the Tivoli Theatre June 3 and 5. The show is produced by Humble Swan Productions and sponsored by Northwest Georgia Bank.

Disney's High School Musical Onstage is a licensed production produced in association with Music Theatre International and is based on the Disney Channel original movie of the same title.

HSM features all of the hit songs from the movie including: "Start of Something New," "Get'cha Head in the Game," "What I've Been Looking For," "Stick to the Status Quo," "Bop to the Top," "Breaking Free," "We're All In This Together," among others, and also introduces new songs such as "Wildcat Cheer," "Cellular Fusion," "Counting On You," and "High School Musical Mega Mix."

The show will feature a High School Musical interior with many of the costumes from the hit movie.

High School Musical features a cast of more than 40 local students from local high schools and middle schools and stars Tim Kelley as "Troy Bolton" and Kandis Guice as "Gabriella Montez," with McKenzie Delaney as "Sharpay Evans" and Travis Smith as "Ryan Evans."

Humble Swan brings back Tracie Kosko as choreographer and Trish Tweedie as musical director and conductor of the live band for each performance.

Humble Swan Productions opened last month its third theatre season at the Colonnade Performing Arts Theatre with Disney's High School Musical Onstage. The two-week run sold 85 percent of seats, with several sold-out shows.

High School Musical is produced and directed by Jonathan Humble and Joy Giles with assistant Cindi Wright. Mr. Humble also works full-time as a financial services representative for Northwest Georgia Bank, beginning as a teller at the main office in Ringgold in 2006.

High School Musical is sponsored by Northwest Georgia Bank, Junior's Building and Supply Co., Fazoli's, Pepsi-Cola, Associated Builders, Dillard's/Clinique, and Chattanooga Allergy Clinic.

The show will be June 3 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18-$30. To purchase tickets, call the Memorial Auditorium Box Office at 423-642-TIXS or visit www.chattanoogaonstage.com. Seating is limited.
