He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathleen (Salzwedel) Ellis of Dayton Mountain; son, Richard “Mike” Ellis of Pikeville; daughter, Aimee Lynn Ivascu of Cartersville, Ga.; his mother, Ida Smith of Belleville, Mich.; three grandchildren; and his three brothers, Walter Ellis of Belleville, Mich., Warren Ellis of Tyler, Tx., and John Ellis of Dayton, Tn.
Funeral services for Richard will be held Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Graysville Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor David Wendt officiating. His family will receive friends at the church Thursday after 5 p.m.
