Jack Leonard Kreis, 77, of Ringgold, died on May 5, 2008 at a local health care facility.
He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Kreis was retired from T.C.U. as General Chairman after seven years and 42 years prior with the Southern Railway.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Dranda Ruth Kreis and a brother, William Joseph Kreis.
He is survived by his son, Jack G. (Norma) Kreis, Ringgold; daughters,
Jan( Tim) Boyd, Chattanooga, Susan (Marcus) Boring, Dalton, and Joy (Jeff) Edwards, Bartlett, Tn.; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack (Jan Marie) Lewis and Carolyn Kreis; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Philip Hare officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
