The Chattanooga History Center offers tours for groups by reservation. Themed walking tours in downtown Chattanooga include: Ross’s Landing and the Trail of Tears, From Rust Belt to Renaissance, Chattanooga in the Civil War.
It also offers walking tours of sections of the city. Civil War bus tours, in which the participants will do a limited amount of walking, include Chickamauga Battlefield, Missionary Ridge and Lookout Mountain.
The Center also provides customized tours for a variety of ages. If your group is interested in an aspect of Chattanooga History not covered in the tours listed above, Center staff will be happy to discuss the possibility of producing a specialized tour, lecture or discussion program for your group.
Walking tours and lectures require a minimum of 10 people, and bus tours require a minimum of 22. Fees for regular walking tours are $3 for adults, and $2 for children. Fees for customized walking tours, lectures, and bus tours will be determined case by case.
Customized walking tours must be booked at least two weeks ahead. Customized bus tours are booked according to bus availability.
