For high school students, the prom is all about having the time of their life. Except for graduation, it is probably the most important event they will participate in during high school. Teens want a date they can share it with and have fun. Healthy dating skills don’t just come naturally. Teenagers need a good understanding of relationships.
First Things First presents Connections, a seminar which teaches teens the essential skills for success in their dating relationship. In this class, teens can learn self-understanding, how relationships work, managing emotions, dealing with problems, effective communication, and what to expect from dating.
In addition to the Connections seminar, FTF will talk about how to look and what to say on the big night. There will be a fashion show for men and women.
The class will be held Saturday, April 5 at The BX (Brainerd Crossroads) located on Austin Street from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
The seminar is free of charge. Registration is required. Free food is provided and class participants are eligible for prom door prizes such as gas cards, free prom tickets, and much more.
