Oak Street Playhouse Has 25 Songs Celebrating 25 Years Of Theatre
posted December 5, 2007

Beginning Friday the Oak Street Playhouse is offering a musical entitled “25 Songs Celebrating 25 Years of Theatre.” The musical represents the 25th consecutive year of theatre performances by the Oak Street Playhouse.

The musical includes songs from Broadway plays along with traditional Christmas music. From the hauntingly beautiful notes of “People” from “Funny Girl” sung by Rhonda Catanzaro to the hilarious rants of Chef “Josh Ruben” in “Le Poissons” from “The Little Mermaid,” to “Impossible” from “Cinderella,” the music is tremendous, officials said. The Christmas carols include “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Silver Bells,” and “Let it Snow” among others.

Theatre performances, which include a dessert bar, will be on Friday, which is sold out, Saturday, and Dec. 14-16. The cost is $10.

For details on times and reservations, check out the Oak Street Playhouse website at www.oakstreetplayhouse.com.
