Wolfe, Jordan Getting In State Senate Race
Join Berke, Brock In Contest To Replace Crutchfield
posted August 21, 2007

Chattanooga attorney John Wolfe and former city staff member and developer Ken Jordan are getting in the state Senate District 10 race.

Attorney Wolfe, a Talk Radio fixture who earlier ran for U.S. Congress, turned in his qualifying papers on Tuesday.

Mr. Jordan said he recently moved from Chattanooga to Marion County and he announced there on Wednesday morning.

They join Chattanooga attorney Andy Berke, who got in early and already has large signs plastered around town, in the Democratic column.

Oscar Brock, son of former U.S. Sen. Bill Brock, announced Monday he will be on the GOP ticket.

The district, that was long held by Democrat Ward Crutchfield, includes all of Marion County and part of Hamilton County.

Mr. Jordan noted he is a Marion County native.

He announced his bid for the state Senate during a news conference at his campaign headquarters in South Pittsburg, where he currently resides.

The Jordan campaign headquarters address is 202 2nd St. (across from the Dixie Freeze).

Mr. Jordan will be joined by his family, friends, and campaign supporters, it was stated.

The qualifying deadline is Thursday at noon.
