Charles Susong
Charles T. Susong, 90, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018.
Charles was born in Ewing, Va., on April 15, 1928, to the late James and Martha Susong. He was a retired glass inspector for AFG. Charles was a long time member and diligent worker at Belvue Christian Church in Kingsport, Tn.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Opal, Bartie, Mae, Estelle and Wilma.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Susong; son, Rodney Susong and wife, Johnetta; grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Susong; and brothers, Chester and Arvil Susong.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 28, from 4-6 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.
The funeral will be in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, with Reverend Gary Armes officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
