Epilepsy Foundation Holds Annual Superhero Sprint Nov. 3

The Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee will be hosting their annual Superhero Sprint on Saturday, Nov. 3. Registration is at 8 a.m., while the race begins at 9 a.m. at Pavilion #4 at the RiverPark, 4301 Amincola Hwy.

All proceeds go to the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee.

The event includes a 5K, fun walk, and vendor fair. Superhero costumes are encouraged.

One out of 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. Seizures may occur more often in different age groups (very young and older people), in different races, and in different areas of the world. The foundation provides services to southeast Tennessee and north Georgia. 

Proceeds from the 5K will support services the foundation provides including but not limited to: 

Children's programming
Medicine
Pediatric healthcare services
Home and community-based programs
Outreach services in the field
Educational outreach and training
