Mandy “Amanda” Wells Woodside, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018, at her residence. 

Mother Woodside was a dedicated member of Macedonia Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God with a long record of outstanding ministry and service to the church and the community. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Wells and Juland Banks; husband, Van Woodside; daughter, Daisy (Ira) Hinton; one grandson, Calvin E. Hinton; seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two grandsons, Lt. Van (DeAndra) Hinton and Reginald Bridges, both of Chattanooga; two granddaughters, Dr. Ivora Hinton of Charlottesville, VA and Eunice (Randall) Leftwich of Chattanooga; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three brothers, Moses Wells, Jack Porter Wells, both of Woodville, MS, and Pastor William (Shirlean) Wells of Baton Rouge, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members and friends.  

She will lie in state on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Sarah Lott as the eulogist.  Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. 

 The family requests donations be made to Macedonia FBH Church of God, Faith Unlimited Ministries Christian Center or Avalon Hospice.

 The family would also like to thank Avalon Hospice, especially Ciera, Brandi, Michelle, Janet, Isaac and Stephanie.
