Dalton, Peggy Dunn (Benton)

Peggy Dunn Dalton, 62, of Benton, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.V. and Mamie Brock Dunn.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dewey Dalton; children and spouses, Christa and Greg O’Neal, of Chatsworth and Jonathan and Keena Dalton, of Athens, Tn.; brother, Milton (Dean) and Tammy Dunn, of Cleveland; and grandchildren, Natalie O’Neal and Emma O’Neal, Eli and Brock Dalton.  Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home in Benton, with Reverend Floyd Boggess and Reverend Homer Roberts officiating.  Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 in Benton Memorial Gardens, with Matthew Swafford, Nathan Swafford, David Hicks, Todd Trew, Donald Dunn and Randy Yates serving as pall bearers; a white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the funeral home prior to the service.
