Paul Jones
Paul Jones, Jr., 55, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2018, in Modesto, California.
He attended Fremont High School in Oakland, Ca., where he was a safety on the football team. Paul attended Cal State in Hayward, Ca., majoring in Accounting. There was never a dull moment when Paul was around.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Jones, Sr. and mother, Shirley Wise; uncle, Alvin Wise “Pee Wee”; grandfather, Horace Jones; and his grandmothers, Marjorie Jones and Odessa Wise.
Survivors include his three daughters, Patricia McClain, LaToya Jones (Devon Cravanas), and Maria McClain; one son, Christopher Bishop; nine grandchildren, Chanel McClain, Aaliyah McClain, Devon Cravanas, Jr., Jayla Cravanas, Layla Cravanas, Christopher Bishop, Chloe Bishop, and Kalani Bishop; one nephew, Jockques Wise; one niece, Sherika Thompson; two great-nieces, Liza Carbone and Tajdreana Hurst; aunts, Mary Helen (Willie) Robinson and Catherine (Norman) Howery; one long-time friend, Betty Smith; stepmother, Johnnie Jones; his loving sister, Marguerite Varnessa Wise; and a host of other relatives and friends in Chattanooga. A memorial service will be on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. at East Bay Fellowship, 16105 Mateo Street, San Leandro, Ca. 94578.
