Neil S. Hoag, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018. He was born in Eaton Rapids, Mi. to the late Gerald and Neta Hoag and had lived in the Michigan area for more than 40 years.  He then moved to South Florida for more than 20 years. He was of the Methodist faith and was a United States Army veteran. He was employed as a meat cutter for most of his life and loved singing, especially in the choir. He enjoyed painting, fishing and bowling, and was always putting others' needs before his own. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, that will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Karen Jenkins Hoag and two brothers, Victor Hoag and Vern Hoag.

Survivors include his children, Karen & Mark Gratton, David Hoag, Steven & Carolina Hoag and Neil & Marz Hoag; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family & friends.

Services and burial will be private and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the doctor’s, nurses and staff at The Health Center at Standifer Place for their care and compassion for Neil.
