Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe announced Monday that Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Faith Hill will serve as the opening night keynote speaker at the 2018 Governor’s Conference on Economic and Community Development, Thursday, Nov. 1.
Commissioner Rolfe will moderate a wide-ranging discussion with Ms. Hill about her entertainment career, ongoing business ventures and economic development initiatives in Nashville.
“Faith is one of the faces of Tennessee’s storied music legacy and we are honored to have her join us for this year’s Governor’s Conference,” Commissioner Rolfe said. “I look forward to hearing Faith discuss her music career, her work with Pickler & Ben and future plans for the show here in Nashville.”
Ms. Hill is one of the most successful female musicians in history. She has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, won multiple awards, including five Grammys, performed on the Oscars and the Super Bowl, and recently wrapped the latest installment of the award-winning Soul2Soul tour franchise with her husband Tim McGraw.
Ms. Hill is one of the executive producers of Pickler & Ben, an Emmy-nominated, daytime lifestyle show that is filmed in Nashville. Pickler & Ben is entering its second season and features today’s top celebrities and tastemakers.
Governor’s Conference will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville from Nov. 1-2. The conference will bring together hundreds of state and local officials, business leaders and economic development professionals.
