James Brown Jones, Jr., 85, of Jasper, Tennessee, died on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his home.
The son of the late James Brown Jones and Magdalene Cantrell Jones, he was a United States Army veteran, and was a retired employee of Velsicol Chemical Corporation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Jones and Bernice Stewart.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred Jones; daughter, Janet Annette Jones; sisters, Ola Bishop and Lillie Bishop; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Rogers Funeral Home, 21 East 5th Street, Jasper, Tennessee, on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 5–9 p.m. Central time, and on Monday, Sept. 17, from noon until service time.
Funeral services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper at 3 p.m. Central time on Monday, Sept 17, with Rev. Phillip Layne officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
