Travis Joines, 48, died September 15, 2018, after a brief illness.

He was born on November 14, 1969, in Jefferson City, Tennessee and lived recent years in Winston Salem, North Carolina, having just moved back to Chattanooga, where he grew up. He was a graduate of Hixson High School, Samford University, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He is survived by his wife, Carissa; children, Elliot, Edie, Maggie, Audrey, and Isaac; parents, Jane and David Womack, and Gary and Barbara Joines; sister, Tanya (Adam) Smith; step- brothers, Shane Womack, Larry (Christy) Headla, Michael Headla; wife’s parents, Al and Karen Gilbert; many relatives and close friends.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Al Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 Monday and from 2-3 on Tuesday.
