Norman Talley, Jr., “Spanky” 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at his residence.
He was a 1969 graduate of Howard High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed by Komatsu for many years.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Minnie Talley, Sr.; grandparents, Charlie and Marie Hall; brother, Dexter Talley; and nephew, Merrell Talley.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sadie P. Talley; son, Antonio Roberts; daughter, Tranisha Talley; granddaughter, Kaniya Halfacre; brother, Anthony Talley; sister, Remon (Rodney) McGee; uncle, Bill Hall; aunt, Doris Paris, all of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Anita Talley, Mildred (Emanuel) Finley, Catherine Sheppard, Mamie (Scott) Slaughter, and Shelia (Michael) Peoples; stepmother, Luvenia Talley; best friend, Myron Collier; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m. at New Enon Baptist Church with Pastor Andrew Bullard III as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
