Emmett Brenton Manley was born June 23, 1941, in Madison, Alabama, to Emmette and Beulah Manley.

He graduated with an accounting degree from Florence State (UNA), where he also met and married his wife, Judith English. Shortly after, Doug was born. The family moved to Chattanooga, in 1967 for work, where David was born.  Brent worked for the past 25 years at Consolidated Metal Services as sales manager, traveling throughout the entire east coast to visit customers, many he called friends.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf and traveling. He had a lifelong passion for Alabama Crimson Tide football, watching and attending many games with both his sons. 

He passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, after a short battle with cancer. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmette and Buelah Manley and his wife, Judith Manley. 

He is survived by his sons, Doug (Vicky) Manley and David (Rebekah) Manley; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Micah Manley and Alina and Hannah Manley.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 5-7 p.m. at the Chattanooga First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 7450 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421. 

A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery.
