Art From The Heart 2.0 Raises Support For Read To Lead Academy

  • Friday, August 17, 2018

Thanks to the support of Chattanooga artists, businesses, and residents, Art from the Heart 2.0 had a successful live and silent art auction, said officials.

Proceeds from the event will help the Bethlehem Center continue to provide a safe haven for children grades first through eighth in Chattanooga as well as STEM, learning expeditions, and homework help for about 200 students of the Read to Lead Academy.

“The art auction was inspirational and a great way to showcase local talent and the art from our students,” said Laura Grody, board president of the Bethlehem Center. “It was great to see everyone’s eagerness to help the youth and families in South Chattanooga.”

Jane Newman, a local artist said, “The kids need you. They are great students, and they are our future."

Donations are still being accepted to help reach the $40,000 goal to support the Read to Lead Academy. To make a donation visit www.thebeth.org or mail a check in to P.O. Box 2156 Chattanooga, TN 37409 with the gift designation “Art from the Heart 2.0”.
