Talk Show host Jeff Styles on Wednesday continued in attack mode on his road rage case, saying his prosecution may be the result of 26-year-old grudges by public officials against him.
He also hit the report by the Chattanooga Police Department in the case, saying it was "riddled with mistakes and inaccuracies."
The case, in which he was shot in the arm on June 15 after smashing the driver's side window of the other vehicle with a tomahawk, has been bound to the Grand Jury on aggravated assault and vandalism.
The other driver, Nick Bullington, was not charged."
The longtime host of a morning show on WGOW said he has released a second podcast of his thoughts on the case.
He said, "This is the first time in a LONG time that I've ever written to you folks (news media) directly. The reason? I'm fighting for my career...
reputation... credibility... ANY source of income... and my own family's security and peace of mind.
Admittedly, this is a rather last-ditch effort to get the REAL truth out in hopes to keep a roof over their heads, literally, while I ride out an unpaid suspension on CHARGES (not conviction) from a statement released by the CPD riddled with mistakes and inaccuracies, that reversed from my attacker being pegged as the suspect to me over a short period of time between the time of the incident and the "official report" that was released later that same night, which was immediately accepted as truth.... still is. It has been repeated over and over again, by people, ranging from law enforcement, media outlets, and even by the DA and judge in a hearing earlier this week.
That misguided document, completely ignoring my version of what had just occurred, began the disastrous cascade of 'C.Y.A.' - Liability Driven (or fearful, PR conscious) lose-lose decisions made by people and institutions you should be able to inherently trust.
I no longer take that trust for granted and neither should you.

And it won't be the last. This story deserves some time and attention, simply due to all of the intersections the modern working person has in their lives, that can be completely blown to bits by the wrong thing happening at a time and place not of your choosing. And most importantly, the wrong message being sent out by the various "crossing guards" at those "shared life" intersections EVEN IF YOU'RE 100% SURE YOU'VE DONE THE RIGHT THING!

Why the late timing?
This launch is designed to coincide with the approximate time the "official story" was beginning to change...from me being the victim...to me being screwed over by city official's incompetence or personal bias.
911 calls and tons of scanner traffic (+ timestamps on all emergency responder two-ways) will be included in next podcast, illustrating the bizarre twist in the tale.
Were secrete calls made? Were 26-year old grudges being re-visited?
Who? Don't know? Why? Don't know. How high up? Don't know. But aim (pun intended) to find out.
