Jerry Paul Church, 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in Chattanooga. 

He was a 1965 graduate of Riverside High School, and retired from Moccasin Bend Hospital after 30 years. 

Survivors are his wife, Anna Church; daughter, Michelle; son, Matthew; four stepsons, one grandson; nephews, nieces, and a host of other relatives and many friends. 

A public viewing will begin at noon until 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, in the funeral home chapel. 

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Greenwood Cemetery.

Wendell Garnett McMurrain, 75, of LaFayette, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked in sales most of his life. Wendell enjoyed writing and had written a book on child abuse prevention titled “We Can”. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Snider Williams. Authorities said a Hixson man shot and killed his 15-year-old son on Saturday night.
