Police Seeking Public's Help In identifying Person Who Shot 9-Year-Old Girl

Chattanooga Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the person responsible for shooting a nine-year-old girl early Sunday morning on Doolittle Street. The student at Orchard Knob Elementary School was left in critical condition.

Police responded at approximately 12:55 a.m. on to a person shot on the 2500 block of Doolittle Street.
 
Police were able to make contact with the victim at a local hospital where she was suffering from a critical, but non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital via a personally-owned vehicle.
 
Investigators were able to determine that a large disorder escalated to shots fired when the victim was injured. Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident.
