Harvel G. King, 89, passed away on July 22, 2018, to be with his heavenly father.

He was a member of Burks United Methodist Church and loved the Pairs and Shares Sunday school class.

During his life he enjoyed many blessings: King painting, buying and leasing and also selling real estate, meeting and greeting many people and he was a constant help to everyone he came in contact with.

Harvel was preceded in death by his mother and father, Herbert and Josie King, sister, Edna King and brother, Arlan King.

Those left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Martha King, daughter, Joan and Ken Nichols, step son, Ben and Mary Bridgman, niece, Paulette Byrd and nephews, Jimmy and Mike King and family, grandchildren, Bethany and Charles Shovlin and great- grandchildren, John and Abigail Grace Shovlin, sister-in-laws, Anna F. Kent and Patsy C. Blanton, brother-in-law, James M. Brown and many close friends and relatives.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for all their kindness and care.

The family will receive friends from 12-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, in the funeral home.
