My fellow Republicans of District 2, I have good news for you. We have a citizen who has been working for us at local and state levels to protect our county assets (fighting the Gardenhire bill), to ensure our children have opportunities of public education (fighting for the rights of the students on Waldens Ridge to not be excluded from their county school in Signal Mountain ) and has been attending county meetings to stay abreast on the issues the county faces.
This citizen, Elizabeth Baker is now asking to continue her work for us as our County Commissioner. Elizabeth will accept the position as her full-time job and will continue to serve us with focused integrity. She has not taken any campaign contributions or endorsements from any person or business that would financially benefit from her service as commissioner.
I will profess my devotion to my county, knowing she is the better candidate for this position , and vote for Elizabeth to represent us all. I am not leaving the Republican Party but I want a strong , healthy county government .
Please do a great act for us all and vote for Elizabeth Baker.
