Sara Ann Fortson, 87, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at her home.

Ann was in the Honors Society and graduated from Chattanooga Central High School.

Ann earned an associate’s degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee. She worked as an area manager with Tupperware, and later retired from TVA in finance and accounting after 20 years of service.

She had many outside interests such as square dancing, crochet, piano, and world travel.

Ann has been a member of Christ United Methodist Church since its beginning and loved her fellow Sunday School members, as well as singing in the choir.

Ann was preceded in death by her husbands William Lusk and Terrell Gray, parents, Robert B. Smith and Lena Irwin, brothers, Robert and Ben Smith, and sister, Inda Echart.

Survivors include her husband Robert H. Fortson, daughter, Carol (Danny) Crye, brother, David (Mary) Lusk, stepdaughters, Jeanie (Dennis) Curry, Brenda (Brian) Smith, stepsons, Mickey (Valerie) Gray, Bobby Fortson, 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
