Hubert H. Loveless, Sr., 97, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at his residence.
He was born on May 31, 1921, in Henagar, Al., to the late Luther J. and Susie Loveless. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hattie Loveless, son, Hubert J. Loveless, Jr., three brothers, L. J. Loveless, Ernest Loveless, William Loveless, two sisters, Joy Loveless Kesley and Maudie Loveless Dunn and a half-sister, Alpha Wilson.
Hubert retired as the co-owner of Valley Machine. He also raised and trained quarter horses on his Triple H Ranch.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Chattanooga and was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Lottie Loveless, of Ooltewah, four step-children, Gary (Nancy) Palmer of California City, Ca., Connie (Garry) Thurman, of Soddy Daisy, Doug Palmer, of Ooltewah, Brian Palmer, of Birchwood, Tn., several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, Nomie Loveless Smith, of Georgetown, Tn., brother, Herman Joe Loveless, of Ringgold, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
The family will receive friends from 4–8 p.m. on Friday, July 20, and Saturday, July 21, and from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, at the funeral home.
