Eric Lebron Walker, 34, turned himself in to police on Monday after warrants were put out for his arrest following an incident on July 4.

Latoria Rowland told police that she and others were attending an Independence Day party at Shepherd View Drive. She said she was in the garage when Walker retrieved a black pistol from his waistband and started walking toward her with the gun at his side.

The victim said Walker was calling her names, and when he came close, she hit him with a broom. She told police it was difficult to hear what the defendant was saying because of the commotion at the party, but it was something to the effect of, “I’ll hurt you, h--.”

The homeowner told officers that Walker fled the scene when she announced that she was calling police. Walker was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.
