The former owners of Cheeburger Cheeburger, Charlie and Renee Eich, will be opening River Drifters on July 2.
River Drifters was described as "a hip new place with a big personality. Patrons can sit on the deck overlooking the Tennessee River while having a cold beer, a delicious Panini from the kitchen, or simply show up and grab a stand-up paddle board or kayak to head out on the river for a day of fun and adventure."
Renee Eich said, "This is the up-and-coming spot to enjoy yourself and the natural beauty of the area. 1925 Suck Creek Road is the location, just 2.2 miles off of Signal Mountain Road."
She said the restaurant "will be happy to help organize a great day of fun on the Tennessee River for your family, school, church group, office party, or any other event. No event is necessary, how about just a day of fun. Never been on a stand-up paddle board or kayak? No worries. Someone from the staff will ensure you are confident and ready to go before setting you out on your adventure.
"Locals and tourists alike will enjoy River Drifters for the convenient location, beautiful views, great food and the kayaks and paddle boards available for rent. There are no parking worries either. There is plenty of free parking on site or across the street.
"It is just nine minutes from downtown, so come on down and sit, float, eat, relax, and enjoy."
