James Franklin Wilson, Sr., 76, Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was born to the late Almon and Hazel Hogan Wilson in Chattanooga and attended Michigan Ave. Baptist Church, Cleveland. He retired in 2015 from Sequatchie Ready Mix, after more than 20 years of employment. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be greatly missed.
James was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Wilson and brother, Virgil Wilson.
He is survived by his children, Ginger Wilson, Debbie Brackett, Jeff Wilson, James Wilson, Jr., Donna Anderson, Allison Ellis and Raymond Lewis; siblings, Larry Wilson, Jerry Wilson and Brenda Williams; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Sunday, June 24 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor David Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday and prior to the service on Sunday.
