Man Shot In The Leg By Police On Tunnel Boulevard

A man was shot in the leg by police after responding to a disorder with a weapon call on Tunnel Boulevard on Saturday night.
 
The suspect suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
 
Officers responded at 7:27 p.m. in the 400 block of Tunnel Boulevard.
 
Police said, "Upon arrival officers located a male suspect matching the description given by witnesses who said parties were involved in a disorder and a firearm was displayed.
 
"Officers engaged with the suspect, shots were fired, and the male suspect sustained a gunshot to the leg.
 
The male suspect was transported by Hamilton County EMS with a non-life threatening injury."
 
Per Chattanooga Police Department policy, two officers have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
 
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office will be handling the criminal investigation.
