Rescuers Called To Check On 73-Year-Old Man On Signal Mountain Trail

Rescuers were called on Saturday afternoon to check out a 73-year-old man who was not feeling well during a hike on a Signal Mountain trail.

Around 1:30 p.m., rescuers were called to the area at 300 Ohio Ave. between Edward's Point and the creek. 

Rescuers made contact with a 72-year-old man, who said he was suffering from "general weakness." 

He was treated by first responders, loaded on an ATV and driven off the trail to receive further treatment.

Agencies on the scene were Walden's Ridge Emergency Service, Signal Mountain Fire, Hamilton County EMS, Signal Mountain Police, and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
