Developer Proposing 3-Story Dwellings At Fairview And 10th; RPA Staff Recommends Denial Of Rezoning Request

  • Monday, May 7, 2018

A developer is requesting to rezone two properties fronting Fairview Avenue and East 10th Street so that three-story dwellings could be constructed at the site.

The Regional Planning Agency staff is recommending denial, saying there is a two-story height limit in that vicinity.

The request by Adamson Developers goes before the Planning Commission next Monday at 1 p.m. at the County Courthouse.

The request is to go from Form-Based Code Zoning U-RD-2 (Urban Residential Detached 2 stories) to U-RA-3 (Urban Residential Attached 3 stories).

The property is owned by JW Holdings LLC.

The staff said, "Based on introducing a new residential form, attached development, for this section of the ML King neighborhood staff recommends to deny the request."
