Margaret Brock Liner, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2018, at her home in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

Born in Charleston, Tn., Margaret lived in Chattanooga for over 60 years. She retired from Porter Warner Industries in the late 1980s. Known as “Mo” to her grandchildren, Margaret loved to read, cook Sunday lunches for her family, and work in her rose garden. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga where she taught Sunday School and was active in Cumberland Presbyterian Women (CPW).

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James “Jim” Liner.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Liner Monette (Mike); her grandchildren, Chris (Martha) and Kevin (Katie) Carpenter; and her eight great-grandchildren.

 Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, May 28, and 12-1 p.m. on Tuesday at Chattanooga Funeral Home East at 404 S. Moore Road. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, at the funeral home with Dr. Courtney Kreuger officiating. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

 Margaret’s family recognizes and thanks the homebound ministries at GraceWorks Church and First Cumberland Presbyterian for their love and kindness and Kindred Hospice, specifically Jennifer Montgomery and Lauren Kirk, for taking exceptional care of Margaret and her entire family over the past year.
