Lookout Mountain's Nancy Maclellan, Philanthropist, Christian Leader, Dies At 77

Nancy B. Maclellan, a philanthropist and Christian leader, has died at the age of 77.

Ms. Maclellan, with her husband, Hugh Maclellan, had made large contributions to many worthwhile endeavors in Chattanooga and around the world.

Mr. Maclellan was a longtime executive at Provident Insurance, which merged with Unum.

Ms. Maclellan, of Lookout Mountain, was recently honored with the naming of a new educational wing at Chattanooga Christian School.

The Maclellans have long been involved in boosting CCS and helping guide and fund it. 

Services for Ms. Maclellan will be Thursday.

Visitation will be at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church from 9-11:15 a.m. The service will be at 11:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

A graveside service will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
