The Howard boys soccer team just keeps on winning. Saturday night at Boyd-Buchanan the Hustlin Tigers continued their historic season with a Class AA state sectional win over Kingston High School. Howard score three unanswered goals to win 3-1.
Kingston scored the first goal of the game but Howard would tack two on the board before the end of the half.
Howard's Neyder Gonzalez-Galvez had an assist and a goal to put Howard up 2-1. The first goal came from Yefri Mendez-Baltazar an a cross from Gonzalez-Galvez.
The second goal come off a hard shot by Gonzalez-Galvez that went under the Kingston keepers hands with just one minute left in the half.
Howard would take a 3-1 lead with 18 minutes left in the game when Gonzalez-Galvez scored off a give and go with Christian Garcia.
Howard will wait for TSSAA to release the Class AA bracket on Sunday before knowing who their first opponent will be the Class AA state quarterfinals in Murfreesboro on Tuesday.
This is Howard's first ever trip to the state tournament for soccer.
