Citizen Shoots Robbery Suspect In Fort Oglethorpe; Sisks Steals Truck And Wrecks It In East Ridge

A citizen in Fort Oglethorpe on Tuesday morning shot a man he recognized as a suspect in a Walgreen's robbery. Shaun Patrick Sisk then proceeded to steal a truck before wrecking it in East Ridge.

Fort Oglethorpe Police said the citizen fired two shots at Sisk.

Afterward, East Ridge Police were called to 3400 Frawley St. by residents.

Sisk had arrived at the home driving a stolen Toyota pickup complaining of a gunshot wound. Officers were able to take Sisk into custody without incident and provided medical attention.

Sisk had numerous outstanding warrants through several jurisdictions. These warrants included aggravated domestic assault, motor vehicle thefts, robbery, burglary, and felony evading arrest. Sisk,  had been the subject of a recent multi-agency effort to locate and arrest him on warrants.

 The East Ridge Police Department thanked the Chattanooga Police Department, Fort Oglethorpe Police Department, Red Bank Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshal’s Service for their work in apprehending Shaun Sisk. All of the listed agencies are continuing their work to close additional cases with information gained during the fugitive investigation and arrest.
