V. Ann Sheafer
V. Ann Morgan Sheafer, 83, went home to be with the Lord and her family April 24, 2018, surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, E. Gene Sheafer and her daughter, Evone Sheafer, her parents, Jay and Ruth Morgan of the Chatta Valley Community her brother, Ronnie Morgan, her sisters, Joe Clabough and Patsy Smith, her special friends, Myrtie Keith and Angie Sandine and her beloved cat, Candy.
She was born in Cleveland, on March 2, 1935, and lived in Bradley County most of her life. She also lived for some time in Charleston and McMinn County. She loved her family and the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. She was a self-employed entrepreneur growing her garden and flowers and selling the produce and making many friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie McKerchie, Shelia Brock and her husband, John, her sons, Robbie Sheafer and his wife Dannette, Rocky Sheafer and his wife, Sandy all from Riceville, Tn., her brother Donnie Morgan and his wife Betty of Cleveland her grandsons, Travis Brock, Lucas Sheafer, Shalon Swallows of Riceville, Andrew Walsh of Cleveland, granddaughters, Dawn Sliger, Maria Sheafer of Riveville, Michelle McKerchie and Dee Dee Grant of Cleveland. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Reverend Jim Hibbard officiating. The interment will be held at 10 o’clock Saturday at Tasso United Methodist Church cemetery with Lucas Sheafer, Travis Brock, Shalon Swallows, Todd Morgan, Judy Morgan and Derrick Morgan serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to say thank you to Athens Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
