Raymond Brackin, Jr.
Raymond Brackin, Jr, 70, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at a local health care facility.
He was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he was in charge of the Lord’s Stichers. He was a 1965 graduate of Bradley Central High School and graduated from UTC with a degree in criminal justice.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Brackin Sr., sister, Peggy Brackin and brother, Steve Brackin.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan Bullard Brackin of Cleveland; his mother, Pauline Ownby Brackin of Cleveland, son, Raymond Aaron Brackin and fiancée Tracey Pudder of Madisonville; and her children, Josh Devine, Brittany Carr, and Bethany Sloan all of Madisonville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Cawood officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Douglas Bullard, David Bullard, Dewayne Bullard, Todd Roberson, Andy Roberson, Scotty Fain, Josh Devine, Paul Tilley, Arvel Tilley, Thomas Hawkins, and Tracy Ownby serving as pallbearers. Cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
His family will receive friends from 5– 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, at the funeral home.
