Second Story Real Estate Management and Stone Fort Properties announced on Thursday that they would join forces to grow their network of commercial real estate across the region. All of the brokers at Stone Fort Properties will immediately join the Second Story team at 719 Cherry Street.
“We’re honored to have Gerald McCormick and his team at Stone Fort join us,” said Tiffanie Robinson, CEO of Second Story.
“Our staff is focused on solving problems for our customers, and we know our success depends on strong networks and customer service. With the addition of the Stone Fort team and their inventory of available properties, we are better positioned than ever to grow and serve our clients throughout the region.”
Gerald McCormick, who started the commercial real estate brokerage firm in 2013 under the name McCormick & Company Commercial Real Estate, leads the company. They adopted the name Stone Fort Properties in 2016 after relocating their offices to the Fleetwood Building, the original Stone Fort limestone quarry location. He will join the Second Story team as a senior advisor.
“Leading this talented team over the last five years has been an honor for me and has given me many opportunities to work with fantastic business owners in Chattanooga,” Mr. McCormick said. “Partnering with Second Story allows all of us to focus more on our clients' needs and connecting buyers and sellers as the real estate market locally continues to grow.”
Since opening in 2016, Second Story has continued to grow, with the recent addition of five new employees, including new brokers, a director of residential development as well as maintenance and support staff. The company has also expanded its property management line of business, now overseeing more than 1.5 million square feet of regional commercial and mixed-use property.
